I believe Gypsy is original including the rig. Unlike later Cal39s, she has a deck stepped mast, very hefty double spreader cutter rig. Some of the gear may have been added, she has two main and two aux winches in the cockpit and four more on the cabin top, with attendant line clutches and cleats. Mast has two sheaves front and two rear, plus a spinnaker halyard and block hung on the front. Room for more up there, I just got a close look - replaced the main halyard last week.

I don't know if the later boats had this setup in the interior, I suspect not - but this first series 39 has an inner molding for a cabin floor, which includes some thick molded ribs coming up from the 'floor' level which correspond to / support the bulkheads at the mast station,  another further forward at the bulkhead between head and v-berth cabin, and one more under the v-berth half-bulkhead. Also, the brace under the mast which is integral with the bulkhead is two 1.25" X 12" planks joined to make in essence a 4 X 12 plank, joined with nice big hardware at the top and bottom.

Seriously stiff boat and construction.
